How It Began
Servnlove Foundation was started by Jo Cook who lives in south Louisiana. She’s a retired pediatric physical therapist who has a heart and a calling to help orphans and widows around the world.
Mrs. Jo took trips around the world to help the needy and realized that India had a great need. With the help of family and friends, she jumped right in and began trying to start a home for orphaned and needy girls.
The Servnlove team was introduced to India native Pastor Reginold Benjamin and his wife Deena, and the partnership has been strong ever since. Mrs. Jo and the Benjamins discovered that they have the same vision.
Reginold and Deena helped Servnlove start a home in Salem, India. They didn’t have to search very far to find children in need! The home is located in a large rent house where the girls reside, but Servnlove has plans for a bigger facility in the future.
What’s Next
Servnlove is always looking to the future. Mrs. Jo has always had a goal of reaching 100 children through the foundation.
Now that Servnlove has property to work with, we can start trying to reach our goals of having our own facility. We are very excited to start fundraising for this big project!

How You Can Help
Servnlove Foundation is kept going by the help of many! We run mostly off of fundraising and sponsorships. Paypal is one of the easiest methods we have to set up a donation or a sponsorship because there is nothing you have to do other than set up a credit card payment online. We also accept checks sent to us directly and if you would prefer this method please contact us through our comment box on the website or email us at servnlove.email@gmail.com. Servnlove is a 501C3 organization.
Since we are a small organization, every little bit counts! We are proud of the fact that besides a small transfer fee, all of your money goes to directly support our girls!

Salem Girls Home
We currently have 19 girls in our home in Salem, India. There are 4 house mothers that take care of the girls and the home, with the supervision and help of Regie and Deena. All of the girls that live in our home meet certain qualifications like they have lost one or both parents, or their parents make an extremely small amount of money per day. It takes approximately 30,000 dollars a year to support the home and make sure the girls are well cared for. They go to a great school and get any medical care they need!! The girls are supported by our sponsorship program. We thank our supporters for making this happen!
The sponsorship money that Servnlove receives also pays the house mothers that take care of our girls. Servnlove believes in helping and reaching as many people as we can so many of the house mothers have been helped out of tough by being provided a stable job.
Questions
How much does it cost to sponsor a girl in India?
We offer some options when it comes to sponsoring our girls. The first option is that you pay $50 dollars a month. Through paypal we can set this up to direct deposit each month which is convenient for you, but you can also mail in your payment each month. Another option is to do an annual donation of $600 a year and this covers a whole year’s sponsorship. Each girl has two sponsors which equals $100 per month or $1200 per year, so we offer this as an option as well.
How much of that money goes to support the girls?
Servnlove Foundation guarantees that approximately 98% of the money you donate goes directly to the girls. We pay for their education, medical care, and daily needs. There is a small transaction fee when sending the money overseas, but other than that, Servnlove doesn’t take your sponsorship money for needs other than those of the girls!
Will I be able to have contact with the girl I sponsor?
Yes! The benefit of Servnlove being a small organization is that you get to have close contact with the girl you support. We try to make communication between you and your child happen as much as possible. Usually when Mrs. Jo takes trips to visit we get the sponsors to send little gifts as well as letters that the girls love to respond to. There is also an option to visit the girls on one of our trips during the year.
What else does Servnlove do throughout the year?
On top of making sure our girls are happy and healthy, Servnlove is busy fundraising, planning trips to see the girls, and helping others that might need us. We have a benefit dinner every year that keeps us busy. We also help to support a leprosy colony near Salem, India. On top of that we have some ongoing fundraisers like selling greeting cards with original designs from the girls.
